When Kristina was young, she started her career as a trainer of guide dogs for the blind, and later became a veterinary nurse. She absolutely loves everything living! If you come visit, you will find all kinds of creatures in her house: dogs, cats, guinea pigs, tortoises and I am sure a lot of spiders hiding in the basement.
Kristina is a scientist working with stem cells and especially interested in regenerative medicine: how sick parts of the body that no longer function can be made replaced using stem cells. She has an MSc in clinical Embryology, a PhD in Physiology and and over 30 years of experience in these scientific fields. She has two children who are now teens. Over the years, they have taught her a great deal about how to capture the interests of young minds.
