Paria is a scientist, a mom and an animator.
She has a BSc in biotechnology from Rutgers University and a PhD in molecular genetics from University of Toronto. She has always been passionate about science education.
After becoming a mom, she realized that there is a shortage of reliable, fun and engaging science education programs for young children. It was an area that needed improvement.
As a scientist and a mom, she knew that storytelling would be a powerful means to educate and engage young minds. Combined with the magic of animation, storytelling has the power to teach children while keeping them engaged and entertained. This is how the idea of "Helix Town" was born.
Although it started as a small side project, over the years it grew into a non-profit organization which not only offers adventure packed animated stories, but also various hands-on activities and meet-the-scientist sessions.
